The article initially describes the evangelical heritage, and moves on to describe the Protestant presence in the Middle East from its beginning until 2000. Attempting to understand the situation of Christians in the Middle East, Badr takes into consideration that civilizational and ideological legacy of the Christianity in the Middle East to examine a period that their predicament began and the consequences it entails.
