The Palestinian Christian community in contemporary Jordan has built its own specific importance from the establishment of the state structures in the Hashemite kingdom. The evolution of the community's social, religious, and political identities however pose new dilemmas, as developments in local and global level change the political and economic environment in which the Christians persist. This article examines the origins of their presense in the country and the currents trends regarding migration and politicization.
