Despite the fact that Palestinian Christians comprise approximately 1 or 2% , they have been actively contributing in a wide variety of fields from politics, the arts, science, and social welfare. This article examines the particular contribution of the Christian Palestinians in contextual theology espacially since the 1980s onwards by examining theological publications by Palestinian theologians. Marteijn identifies and engages some key theological themes with the Palestinian Christian identity within the context of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
